Lazy Daze motorhomes started manufacturing motorhomes in 1956 and introduced the very first Class C motorhome into the RV market. The company is one of only a few that distributes factory direct instead of through dealerships. This ensures that the factory stays in touch with the consumer and the company benefits and improves it's product based on direct feedback from customers. It also keeps the price down on a high quality built motorhome.
The Lazy Daze factory is located in Montclair, California. Visitors can tour the factory, browse the showroom models and test drive the RVs. Many customers do visit the factory before placing an order for a new Lazy Daze motorhome. Because the RVs are sold through the factory and not dealerships the price is non-negotiable.
Currently models include floor plans in varying lengths from 24' to 31' and custom options are available when orders are placed.
The coach is built on a Ford chassis with a 6.8L gas engine. The exterior is constructed using wood, steel and aluminum with an all aluminum roof. Standard amenities include a Dometic 6 Cu. ft. refrigerator, 3-burner stove top, oven, microwave, lavatory, shower, and a Onan 4.0 kW generator. Upgrade options include items such as a Satellite radio and a navigation system.
The Lazy Daze Caravan Club is not connected with the manufacturer. The only requirement for membership is owning a Lazy Daze RV and there are no membership fees or dues required for membership. Nearly all of the activities of the club is done by volunteers, and most caravans are spent boon docking. There are generally about nine outings per year and between 75-125 owners attend the caravans. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with like minded travelers.
Owners praise the quality and design of their LD motorhomes and report few problems with components inside and out.
We snapped this photo near the Grapevine in California, where a dozen or so LD's had gathered together. It was fun to see so many of them all in one place with all the different colors and lengths represented.
