Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van
(Sun City, AZ)
The U.S. market for motorhomes built on the reliable Mercedes Sprinter chassis is up 16% in 2012, and expected to climb even higher as the economy begins to emerge from it's economic recession.
The Mecedes-Benz Sprinter is currently used by Airstream, Fleetwood, Great West, Roadtrek, and Winnebago Industries in the construction of their motorhomes.
Gone are the days of four kids and two dogs on vacation. More common today is a husband and wife and one small pet.
Economics has also had an impact on the trend for downsizing. A smaller RV is more versatile than a Class A diesel pusher and more affordable. People are looking for fuel economy instead of of the next gas station.
Unless you are a full time RVer, a Class B or C more than does the job.
Share your opinion. Do you think the trend for downsized motorhomes will continue in the USA?
